The Communications Center has an opening in either Sacramento or Vacaville for an Information Officer I. This position will serve as State Fund's social media strategist to research, plan, compile, post, and monitor content on social media channels including LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, and the State Fund Blog. Plan and implement communication strategies and campaigns through digital and social media. Recommend uses for social media channels and strategies in implementing overall organizational communications plan. Strengthen State Fund’s brand and social media metrics through effective digital marketing media. Develop original content to meet digital and social media strategies. Establish a strategy to maintain relationships with social network members, thought leaders, and bloggers. Maintain dynamic LinkedIn, Twitter, State Fund Blog, and YouTube sites which will attract and grow followers. Keep informed of technological advances in social media platforms.

Experience in social media communication is required

(1)Prior to employment with State Fund, a background investigation (BI) will be conducted. The BI consists of a Personal History Statement and will check criminal and civil records and, if applicable, verify education and check driving records.
